About me

I’m a PhD Student in the Information Retrieval group within the Informatics Faculty at the University of Lugano (Università della Svizzera italiana, USI), Switzerland.

My research is focused on short documents analysis using IR, text mining and machine learning techniques of user generated contents like twitter, chat logs, sms and police report archives. I’m currently working on the SNF ChatMiner project.

I am also co-organizing the “Sexual Predator Identification” sub-task within the “Author Identification” task in the PAN (Uncovering Plagiarism, Authorship, and Social Software Misuse) Workshop 2012.

I was visiting AT&T Labs Research in Middletown, NJ, U.S.A. in March-April 2011.
